About the products

What does Armored Alpha make?

Outdoor protection against ticks and mosquitoes, in four groups:

  • Protective gear — leg and shoe gaiters, head nets, mesh hat covers, and the solar fan cap
  • Repellent wearables — the citronella bracelet, worn on a wrist or ankle
  • Sprays and natural repellents — mosquito spray, tea tree shoe spray, and cedarwood balls
  • Bite relief — the anti-itch pen, soothing ointment, and itch relief patches

What is in the bracelet?

It is scented with citronella, a plant-derived oil long used to help keep mosquitoes at a distance.

How long does a bracelet last?

Citronella fades as it is exposed to air, sun, and heat. Replace the band once you can no longer smell it.

What size is the bracelet?

One size, designed to fit both adults and children on a wrist or ankle. It comes in Black, Yellow, Green, and Blue, and is $39.99 in every color.

Is the bracelet safe for kids?

It is worn on a wrist or ankle and is not eaten, sprayed, or rubbed in. As with any scented product, take it off if any redness or irritation appears, keep it away from eyes, and check with your doctor before using it on infants or during pregnancy.

Which products actually stop ticks?

Ticks climb rather than fly, and they board at your feet and ankles. Our leg gaiters and shoe gaiters close the boot-to-pant gap they use, and our head nets and hat covers keep them off your face and neck. Physical barriers are the core of tick protection. Always do a tick check after time in tall grass or brush.

Do gaiters replace repellent spray?

They do different jobs. Gaiters are a physical barrier. Sprays add a treated layer on fabric and footwear. Many customers use both in tall grass.

What is the difference between the head net hat and the net hat cover?

The head net hat is a complete hat with a built-in mesh veil. The cover is mesh alone, designed to slip over a hat you already own.

How do I use the anti-itch pen?

Press it to the bite area and hold. It is drug-free and cream-free, so nothing needs to be washed off afterward.
